May 20, 2009 — Love is difficult to define, though philosophers say we all want it, and songwriters spend lots of time trying to figure it out for us.
The Lost Trailers' current single, "How 'Bout You Don't," embraces a recommitment to love, though the band's bass player, bachelor Manny Medina, still hasn't found it. One thing in his favor in the search: He knows what he's looking for in a relationship.
"First of all, it's something that's constantly evolving, you know, your definition of it when you're a little kid and different relationships and stuff," he told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "You kind of learn from all these things. And to me love is just being comfortable with somebody, being able to be silent with somebody, and you know, obviously respect and trust, and these are things that continuously grow."
Ap propriately, "How 'Bout You Don't" has grown in popularity in the last couple months. The song is currently at No. 17 on the USA Today Mediabase country chart giving the Lost Trailers their second Top 20 hit.
