Brad Paisley Album Covers Wide Territory

May 13, 2009 — Brad Paisley's next album, American Saturday Night, is due June 30, and its title reflects a rather ambitious concept.
Brad's concerts have taken him all around the U.S., and he's written the title track with a big-picture view of the nation.
"'American Saturday Night' is a song about what happens on a weekend in our country, under the guise of the melting pot and how really nothing is original here," he told Billboard. "We are all of some heritage, other than those who are Native American, and it seems like it's all sort of washed up here on these shores as a best-of collection of what the world has to offer."
As it turns out, the album's timing is perfect. CDs are traditionally released on Tuesdays, and Brad's project hits the street June 30. The very next Saturda y is the Fourth of July, making that date an all-American Saturday night. Brad has yet to announce what he might be doing that evening. He has a hole that weekend in his schedule. Otherwise, he's on the road this summer on the American Saturday Night Tour with opening acts Dierks Bentley and Jimmy Wayne.
