April 22, 2009 — Rascal Flatts just brought its Bob That Head Tour to a close several weeks ago, but the band is already looking forward to its American Living Unstoppable Tour, with the kickoff date now set for June 5 in St. Louis.
The current itinerary features 26 shows during the summer months, including a pair of stadium dates at Chicago's Wrigley Field and Ohio's Columbus Crew Stadium. Darius Rucker's on tap to open the shows, with Vince Gill added to the Chicago lineup and Dierks Bentley augmenting the Columbus concert.
"We are very blessed to see familiar faces in the audience in most cities we play on tour," bass player Jay DeMarcus says. "We know in this economy Americans want the most for their money, and we hope that we offer some stress relief and a fun night out."
Rascal Flatts' Unstoppable al bum debuted at No. 1 last week on the Billboard country albums chart and the all-genre Billboard 200, and the band's "Here Comes Goodbye" hit the top of the country singles list as well.
The June 5 launch date makes the band the second major country act to hit the road that day. Brad Paisley's American Saturday Night Tour gets underway the same evening with Dierks and Jimmy Wayne in Charlotte, N.C.
