April 22, 2009 — Martina McBride's Blackbird recording studio is one of the most successful in Nashville's music community, and now she's joining with Napa Valley's Blackbird Vineyards to introduce a Signature Series wine.
The wine, which blends Cabernet Sauvignon with two other reds, is being offered to members of Martina's fan club through her website. It's a pricey line — $60 for a 750 ml bottle — but Martina's always had an exquisite level of taste.
"I've been able to taste incredible wines while travelling the world on tour," she says. "I sampled Blackbird Vineyards' wines while on a trip to Napa Valley and loved them. I'm thrilled to collaborate with Blackbird on this inaugural Signature Series."
Come Monday, Martina will be tasting more wine at the 10th Best Cellars Dinner at the Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel in Nashville. Tickets to the charity event cost $1,200, with the proceeds slated for the T.J. Martell Foundation. Among other artists expected to attend Best Cellars: Dierks Bentley, Amy Grant, Jamey Johnson, Kellie Pickler, Big Kenny, Wilson Phillips' Chynna Phillips and Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus.
