May 1, 2009 — Trace Adkins and Lady Antebellum are both firmly planted on GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, and they'll both stop by the show this weekend to visit host Nan Kelley.
Trace's "Marry For Money" puts a humorous spin on economics, and it ranks at No. 3 on this week's list, continuing a run of high-performing videos, including "You're Gonna Miss This" and "Muddy Water." "Miss This" won Single of the Year last month during the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. This weekend, he'll be at an important venue in Nashville when he appears on the Grand Ole Opry, along with Heidi Newfield, Marty Stuart and Loretta Lynn, among others.
Lady A's "I Run To You" continues a good stri ng for them, too. The video is at No. 11 on Top 20 as they enjoy their third straight hit from a debut album that's gone gold. They're currently singing the song live as a part of Kenny Chesney's Sun City Carnival Tour.
