June 5, 2009 — Eight months ago, Dierks Bentley became a dad for the first time with the birth of Evalyn Day Bentley; predictably, the world looks completely different.
"There's a whole kind of different universe opens up that I never knew existed," he told the national radio show GAC Nights: Live From Nashville. "I'm not the center of it, which is really cool. She makes you look at things totally different, and it's like everything's still the same, but there's this other little side of your life that's really special. I know the basic stuff, changing diapers to making formula to burping. I know it all. You become an old pro relatively quickly."
Dierks is already an old pro as a road warrior, and he hits the trail again this weekend with the launch of the American Saturday Night Tour in Charlotte. Brad Paisley headlines with Jimmy Wayne opening. The entourage t ravels 165 miles to Raleigh, N.C., for the first Saturday night performance on the American Saturday Night itinerary.
