May 4, 2009 — A week ago, Chuck Wicks gave what proved to be his final performance on Dancing With The Stars, where his efforts included a dance to the Beyonce song "Single Ladies" in a leotard.
The routine was a send-up of a Saturday Night Live skit in which Justin Timberlake led a group of guys in tight body suits who were in turn spoofing Beyonce's original video. Chuck likely won't be wearing that outfit in public again, for reasons that will sound quite familiar to his female fans.
"This is my shout-out to all the women out there: I finally feel your pain," he says. "I went out there on national television in a leotard, and I felt like my butt was too big, I felt like my legs? I needed to work out. I felt like I needed to make sure my strap was on right, it wasn't gonna pop out. I mean, these are serious things that you guys go through, and it's emotional and stressful, and I'm never doin' it again."
Chuck and his Dancing With The Stars dance partner, girlfriend Julianne Hough, will appear Thursday at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tenn., to raise money for the band. Joining them will be songwriter Monty Powell, who's authored such hits as Keith Urban's "Days Go By," Chris Cagle's "What A Beautiful Day" and Diamond Rio's "Nowhere Bound."
