Opry Country Classics Debuts Mar. 26

The Songs Country Fans Remember Best and Love Most to Take Center Stage for New Opry Country Classics Show Thursdays This Spring
Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers, Loretta Lynn, Lorrie Morgan to Perform During March 26 Show Debut
The songs country music fans remember best and love most are set to take the stage for the new show Opry Country Classics each Thursday this spring beginning March 26. The show will feature colorful storytelling and vintage video clips as well as performances of country classics by legends of the genre who popularized them as well as many of today's talented newcomers. The March 26 show debut is set to feature host Larry Gatlin plus the Gatlin Brothers, whose hits include "Houston" and "Broken Lady," among others, as well as performances by Country Music Hall of Famer Loretta Lynn ("Coal Miner's Daughter," "Honky Tonk Girl,"), Lorrie Morgan, ("Something In Red"), and Mandy Barnett, star of the Ryman Auditorium's upcoming production Always…Patsy Cline, and more. In addition to other all-time favorites, Classics' debut performance will also feature the songs of country legend Patsy Cline, whose indelible impact is still felt by Lynn, Morgan, and Barnett, as well as by virtually every other artist in country music today.
Longtime Opry members John Conlee ("Rose Colored Glasses," "Friday Night Blues") and20Marty Stuart ("Hillbilly Rock") are confirmed as hosts for the show later in the spring, and among other guests scheduled to appear is classic country favorite Gene Watson ("Fourteen Carat Mind," "Got No Reason Now For Goin' Home").
Guests can save money when purchasing a combo ticket good for both a performance of Opry Country Classics and the Grand Ole Opry. The Grand Ole Opry® and Opry Country ClassicsTM are presented by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®. Opry performances are held every weekend of the year and on Tuesdays through Dec. 15.
