Lorrie Morgan has been cast in the upcoming Broadway production of Pure Country expected to launch in early 2010. As previously announced, Joe Nichols will play the lead role of Rusty, originated by George Strait (as "Dusty") in the 1992 film of the same name. Morgan will appear as Rusty's manager, Lula. She is expected to release a new album in October. Morgan released a dozen Top 10 hits in the 1990s, including "Five Minutes," "Something in Red," "What Part of No" and "I Didn't Know My Own Strength."
