July 1, 2009 — Brooks & Dunn are adding a hits compilation to autumn's album release schedule, perhaps around the time of Indian summer, while Tim McGraw's decided on a name for his first project of new material in two years.
They're among the leading projects slated for late summer and fall release. Brooks & Dunn's #1s ... and then some features "Indian Summer" and one other brand new song, "Honky Tonk Stomp," in a 30-track collection stuffed with 23 chart-topping singles. It hits the streets Sept. 8.
Tim's album, Southern Voice, will include his new single, "It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You," which is likely to become the first country hit to reference Liberace in the lyrics since Emmylou Harris' 1981 cover of "Mister Sandman." No date has been att ached yet to the project, though a date has been established for the release of Tim's next movie. The Blind Side, co-starring Sandra Bullock, comes out Nov. 20, the weekend prior to Thanksgiving.
Other CDs on the way include Justin Moore's debut, set for Aug. 11 release; Reba McEntire's Keep On Loving You, Aug. 18; a new album from Terri Clark; and the next CD by George Strait, which is simply titled Twang.
