TRACE ADKINS RETURNS FOR LIVE SEASON FINALE OF "THE CELEBRITY APPRENTICE"

05/05/09
May 10 - 8pm ET/7pm CT
American business magnate and television personality, Donald Trump, has invited country music superstar Trace Adkins to make a special guest appearance on the live three-hour season finale of "The Celebrity Apprentice" on Sunday, May 10 at 8ET/7CT on NBC.
The stage has been set for what is sure to be a brutal battle between comedian Joan Rivers and poker icon Annie Duke as they enlist former contestants for one last task to determine who will be this year's ultimate Apprentice.

Adkins, who finished second in the 2008 Celebrity Apprentice competition, will join last year's crowned winner, British tabloid editor and "America's Got Talent" Judge Piers Morgan, to talk with Mr. Trump about the memorable conflicts and drama that ensued in last year's series. They will recount their year since appearing on the competition and how much money they've been able to raise for their respective charities. Mr. Trump will also ask Adkins and Morgan who they think should win this year, and why.
While Adkins may have not been declared "The Celebrity Apprentice" of 2008, he still came out a big winner and accomplished exactly what he set out to do - raise money and awareness for his charity, The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN). Adkins' 7-year old daughter suffers from severe food allergies and the charitable organization is considered to be one of the largest charities in the U.S. dedicated to helping and advocating Americans who live with food allergy.
His finale performance of the 2008 hit, "You're Gonna Miss This" was made available for downloading exclusively at iTunes.com for two weeks, with proceeds benefiting his charity. Since his appearance on the show, Adkins has been able to raise almost $400,000 for the cause. The song went on to become his first multi-week number one single and has been nominated for several Grammy, Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association awards.
Adkins, who has long been a staple on the country charts, appeared in some of the show's strongest moments and always played the game with integrity and dignity. As a result, he clearly became the overall fan favorite who won over the hearts of his fellow contestants and the millions of Americans who tuned in.
His latest CD, TRACE ADKINS: "X" (TEN), has already produced two Top 20 hits ("Muddy Water" and "Marry For Money") since its release in November 2008. The album's third single, "All I Ask For Anymore," hits country radio May 18. The following week, on May 24, Adkins will perform on the National Memorial Day Concert, a special tribute concert airing live from the West Lawn of our nation's Capitol on PBS. On June 18, he'll kick-off "America's Toughest Tour" with good friend and fellow country mega-star, Toby Keith.
